Tuesday (12/31/19) Road Trip

We are on our way!  It was a slow start this morning as we worked our way through snowy and windy conditions down through Chicago.  We are thankful for safe travel so far. We saw several semis and cars in the ditch!  A quiet, tired group so far, but mostly smiles:). Thanks for checking in. We'll give an update either late tonight or early tomorrow morning once we've settled in and got some rest.  So thankful for your prayers! (Annie is with us, she's just hiding in the back right corner:)

We arrived in Atlanta shortly before 8:00 and then stopped at a Walmart for a few things, grabbed some pizza and then headed to the church. We arrived at about 9:00 and started to get settled in.  In this picture we are having an orientation with Nick.

Awake...mostly:)

Pastor 7 getting ready to lead the service. Pastor preached on Matthew 6:25-33. The focus, "Do not be anxious about your life."  ...the cancer of negativity, having an attitude of gratitude - thankful for the good AND thankful for the bad.  "Don't let the enemy in to do what he wants."  "We can't live today to the fullest if we are anxious."

Our brief celebration which lasted about as long as it took to take this picture.  We were ready for sleep!

We will be meeting with Nick and a few men New Year's morning at 10:00 am to make lunches before going on our 1st Route.  So excited!
